FAQ

Recorded Educational Resources - Submit a Recording

Guidance for creating a recording for the MBChB

At this point you will have prepared, created, edited and reviewed your MBChB resource. This final section will direct as to how and where resources need to be submitted.

Where should I upload/submit my recordings?

Once a recording has been created, edited and quality assured, staff should save the recording to the Submissions folder on Panopto and inform the relevant year administration team and TEL team the recording is now available. Please refer to the QA Checklist before confirming a recording is complete.

Move a Recording to the Submissions Folder

What is the Submissions Folder?

This folder is where the School of Medicine receives the final and complete versions of recordings for MBChB courses. Recordings are then embedded on Canvas for students to access.

If you have recorded directly into your personal folder in Panopto - "My Folder" - please follow the steps below to see how you move a recording into the Submissions folder.

  1. Complete a final review of your resource, ensuring it meets all points on the Quality Assurance Checklist.
  2. Hover over the recording, a small box will appear in the top-left corner of the thumbnail.
  3. Select the box.
  4. Navigate to the options bar underneath "My Folder" and choose "Move".
  5. In the drop-down menu, search for "#Submissions".
  6. Once the #Submissions folder is selected, click "Move" again.
  7. Please inform the relevant Year administration team and TEL team that you have successfully submitted your completed recording.

Actions Following Submission - Share Slides

The administration teams require the presentation used in the recording, as well as any additional materials, which they will upload to Canvas, alongside the recording.

Upload your slides to the SharePoint folder sent to you by TEL/administration teams: Submitting PowerPoint Slides and Teaching Resources.

Please share your presentation slides in their original PowerPoint format. Looking for contact details? Visit Contact Information for Year Administration Teams.

Annual Resource Review

All resources must be reviewed annually to ensure they remain up-to-date and meet the legal, University and School standards for delivery. The relevant Year administration team will contact you when content is due to be reviewed in time for the next academic year.
