Best Practice Guidelines for Recorded Educational Resources

  • Each section contains guidance that will support you to prepare, create, edit, review and submit a recording for the MBChB programme.
  • Recorded resources are created and stored in the university's recording software, Panopto.
  • All guidance is based on the School of Medicine's best practice guidelines for lecturers.

A person asking someone to submit a recording

If you are unable to submit a pre-recorded educational resource

If it becomes apparent that you will be unable to submit your resource on time please:

  1. Suggest a backup colleague to take over the responsibility. This must be done with their knowledge. Please inform your System/Specialty Lead and the Year Administrator with as much notice as possible.
  2. If an alternative colleague cannot be found, contact the System/Specialty Lead and agree a plan to ensure that the relevant material will be made available for students to access.
